I have 3 little ones. Yorkie and 2 Pom poms. Without this I would have to constantly assist them. My bed is extreme high. Now they visit me up here when ever they feel like it.I was very pleased when this arrived so quickly and so easily just to unfold and stack on top of each other.I wanted to make it sturdier so my 1-year-old pup wouldn't be scared of it at first attempt, so I put some leftover laminate flooring inside the covering and zipped everything up and it made it much heavier so it didn't slide around on my wood floor even though it does have some grip on the bottom it just wasn't enough. She just want to use it she was scared of it and going to take a lot of training to get her to do it. And honestly I just don't have the patience to do that, so she's just going to get extra beds to sleep on all around the house that are comfortable for her.I even tried to flatten it out like it comes in the box and one night she did get in the bed okay by doing that little bit of a lift to get in but getting out was a nightmare because she wouldn't step down on it she jumped over it and slid across the floor and hurt herself worse.I hope this same exact stairs are available when I get another puppy way in the future and train that puppy right from day one how to use it because these are beautiful looking stairs they do not look at all like junk. Blends right in with my other furniture and decorating style.I needed something for our aging Dachshund and Beagle. Our dachshund is 12 now, and while he's in decent shape and doesn't currently have spine issues, the worry is always there. He loves being on the bed and we're afraid of him jumping down. The Beagle, who is about 7 now, suddenly started hesitating to jump up on the bed. Both dogs are approx 20-25lbs.After having ordered a couple different models of ramps and immediately returning them (they were all too wide, too bulky, or too steep), I decided to give these a go. Out of the box, they look quite nice. They are slightly more narrow than most options, which was great for the space I have. They are perfect height for our moderate height bed. They would be too high for a couch (I might get the 3 step to try for that). They are very lightweight, which I suppose could be good and bad. I definitely could see others' concerns that with a heavier pet hitting these with any speed, the stairs could slide around or become displaced. It hasn't been a problem for our dogs, but I could see the issue. The reason I waited a while before reviewing (or possibly returning) was that it took some time / training to get the dogs to use them. They are kind of steep. The Beagle would continue to jump over / past them for a while, but now he bounces right up them if he doesn't feel like jumping. The Dachshund on the other hand will not go up them, which is unfortunate, but I think they are just too steep for his confidence. He will however go down them, which is really what we wanted them for (the Beagle sees no point in using them to get down yet). All in all, a good purchase for small under 25lb dogs to access the bed safely.I love this item. I bought it for my little chihuahua to get up on my bed. He was a little confused at first, I had to coax him with a dog treat on each step. Within a day he was zooming up and down them. They have a smaller footprint than I expected - I thought they would take up more space than they do but they are really not that much of an intrusion in the room. They do slip out of place on the carpet. I have to reposition them every couple of days. but that takes like two seconds to do. Eventually I'll put some sort of gripper on the bottom so they will stay put. They help little dogs and older dogs out a lot. 10/10 would highly recommend.I would like to say this pet step is VERY well made, VERY easy to assemble and use, but it in my opinion is meant for smaller dogs under 40lbs in weight, and dogs that are still agile and are average or above average in terms of agile athletic abilities. The one dog I specifically purchased it for is not the most agile dog and he is medium large dog weighing 50lbs, so I found it to be potentially unsafe for him to use due to a risk he could fall off to the side when climbing down on it.But if your dog is still quite agile and is still has good athletic ability this step system will work well. Just IMO not meant for use by larger less agile dogs.I purchased these stairs for my 15 year old Jack Russell Terrier mix (15 lbs.) who hasn't been able to jump up onto my bed for the past few years. I wanted to restore some independence for him since he enjoys being on my bed and he would always have to wait for me to pick him up. It took him about a week or so to become comfortable with going up and down the stairs, but ever since then, he uses them with confidence! The build quality of these stairs is very good! I like that they are portable, can be folded, and the cover over the foam can be removed easily to wash if necessary. I did notice sometimes when my dog stopped and sat on the top step (I purchased the larger 4-step option) it wobbled a bit. Not wobbly enough that I was worried about him falling, but still noticeable. Since the 4-steps are separated into two pieces (see product image #3 above), I addressed that by inserting a flat barbell weight between the two pieces. It's incredibly sturdy now and doesn't move at all when he goes up and down.Overall, I (and my dog too!!) am very satisfied with these stairs! These are awesome steps. Very good quality. It zips apart and covering is machine washable. Too bad my dog won’t use them?Great for my little guy just under 20 pounds. Sturdy and easy for him to get up to the 2ft bed height.Sturdy and easy to qaswmbleWorks well for my 20lb dogs to get onto my bed by themselves.
