Although my animals that I'm attempting to train are a bit unconventional (I work with birds), I'm trying to test out various training techniques, such as a clicker (included here), along with tasty treats, hence, I got this treats pouch for the bird feeding. There's not a lot of popular data out there, in terms of scientific studies and published works, that I'm aware of, that signal that this sort of training is effective, but, on one hand, I haven't looked up papers on Google Scholar, to check to see if there's literature on the subject, although I've seen some amazing videos on YouTube depicting lovebirds playing competitive basketball, fairly accurately (not human-grade level of competitive and purpose-driven intelligent, but they were putting the ball in to a lovebird-sized hoop, and competing with each other, for the ball). It was quite inspirational, to witness the potential of birds to perform intelligently, and I have a fair amount of experience in simply hand-raising and taming young lovebirds, so my inquiries and practices, currently, have some basis and foundation to them, I feel. In any case, just yesterday, after I fed some birds their daily meal and treats, they proceeded to follow me, as I walked away, so I felt that they were prone to trainability, potentially, given a good, positive conditioning nurturing environment, especially over time, if I manage to be consistent with it.Anyways, I came across this treats pouch, so I felt that I could include this product in my daily supplies that I take out, and that I could make some special room for particular treats, or, handy treats, since I put other things in the larger treat bag that I take out, with me. The pouch includes a carabiner for attaching it to things, such as some kind of loop, or a strap. I have it hooked on to a belt loop attachment on my bag, so the pouch is easy to implement along with other supplies that I take with me. Silicone happens to be an ideal material for the pouch, since it doesn't stain or soak up stuff, and crumbs won't cling to it. It's the perfect material, I feel, for a treat pouch, given these features. There's a nice zipper attached to the opening of the pouch, for ease of use, and for securement of the treats, while moving around and for traveling. Hooray for Barkie!
